Nayha Ahmad set to join BBC Asian Network in 2021
BBC Asian Network has announced brand new schedule changes for March 2021. Part of the new line up includes Nayha Ahmad taking over from Drivetime host Yasser to present The Official Asian Music Chart Friday, 4-6pm. The weekly show is a rundown of the most purchased, streamed and downloaded Asian Music by UK audiences.
Nayha started her career on community radio shows, going on to present the Chart Show on Westside Radio and daytime shows on Vibe FM. She most recently became the weekday afternoons presenter at commercial radio station Aspen Waite Radio.

Nayha says: “I have always strived to pursue my dreams and to get the opportunity to work for BBC Asian Network, doing a show where I will be at the core of popular and new music, is the dream! Music is my passion and doing the Chart Show, sharing that passion with listeners is a dream come true. I’m so excited to get stuck in, to make this show a true representation of what our British Asian scene is all about with something fresh!”
BBC Radio 1 is changing its schedule for 2021 and Fee Mak is one of five new presenters joining the line-up. Early Breakfast on Fridays will become a brand new slot, with a different presenter hosting every month. Fee Mak will be taking over in the month of March.
The Head of Radio 1, Aled Haydn Jones, has said it is a really exciting time for Radio 1 as they prepare to welcome the next generation of talent and on the new Friday morning rotation they’re going to be hearing from some fantastic new presenters over the coming months.

Fee Mak says: “I’m so grateful and gassed for this opportunity. This is something that I could’ve only imagined in my dreams, and now it’s really happening! It’s such an honour to be a guest presenter on Radio 1 for a month and I cannot wait. It’s lit!”
Kiss have announced eleven new specialist shows in the form of KISS Nights with Charlie Powell presenting her new show 'Future Dance' on Saturdays 3-6am. The slots launched on Monday the 9th of November and will reflect Drum and bass, Afrobeats, Grime, Hip Hop, all forms of House, Garage and more.
This year has marked the 35th year since the launch of KISS as a pirate station. KISS Nights will now bring entirely new programmes and a few recent KISS legends to complete the transformation.

In November Shayna Marie will be playing a couple of special DJ sets in the main space at Boxpark Wembley. The venue hosts an incredibly diverse selection of street food traders, 'PLAY' - a dedicated space boasting a range of fun leisure activities such as axe throwing, virtual reality experience, and a ‘PlayBox’ area which is home to shuffleboard, table tennis, pool and table football.

Miss L.A. & DJ Sollie will be waking up London on their new show at Flex FM 'Flex Breakfast'. The show will be on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7am. The move comes following their popular show on Wednesdays at Flex 'The mid-morning madness'.
