Jojo Silva

Jojo Silva is a radio presenter from West London and the host of Capital Xtra's Early Breakfast show, broadcasting nationwide Monday to Friday.

Alongside her broadcasting career, Jojo is a passionate advocate for literature, storytelling and education. Having spent a decade working in schools, she has championed books and reading as a way to build confidence, spark curiosity and help young people find their voice. Her experience includes senior leadership roles and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership.

This passion has led to an extensive portfolio of literary hosting and moderation work. Jojo has chaired conversations and interviewed acclaimed authors including Jacqueline Wilson, Patrick Ness, Alice Feeney, Chris Whitaker and Louise Candlish. Her literary hosting credits include London Book Fair, Cheltenham Literature Festival, Harrogate Literature Festival, Henley Literary Festival, Queen's Park Book Festival, Petworth Festival, Chiswick Book Festival and the Sceptre Salon, where she has led conversations with authors, readers and audiences on everything from creativity and publishing to education and storytelling.

Proud of her Portuguese heritage, Jojo also creates digital content celebrating Portuguese culture and identity. Through her growing TikTok platform, she shares everything from Portuguese food and traditions to football and her admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, sparking conversations around culture, community and everyday life.

Alongside her broadcasting and literary work, Jojo has hosted a variety of live music, culture and industry events. Her credits include Ditto X Meet The Music Industry, Notting Hill Academy of Music Showcase, the Music & Drama Education Awards, showcases for renowned new music platform iluvlive, and appearances at Marshall Amps' Hanwell Hootie Festival, engaging audiences across music, culture, education and emerging talent.
