Jordan Blyth
Jordan Blyth is a presenter from the North East of England. He hosts Kerrang! Radio's weekday mid-morning show (10am–1pm), bringing his trademark energy, quick wit and unmistakable Teesside accent to one of the UK's biggest rock stations.
Growing up in Stockton-on-Tees, Jordan developed a lifelong passion for music, particularly rock, metal and alternative. That passion, combined with his unmistakable northern voice and natural storytelling ability, has helped him carve out a distinctive place in broadcasting, where regional accents remain all too rare.
Jordan began his broadcasting career at Spark Sunderland while studying Broadcast Media Production before completing a Master's degree in Radio. He made his professional presenting debut on Durham OnAir, championing emerging artists across the North East's indie, rock and alternative music scene.
Since then, Jordan has become a familiar voice across UK radio. Alongside hosting weekdays on Kerrang!, he is also a regular voice on BBC Radio 1, where he covers the network's Indie Show and BBC Introducing, following his debut on the legendary Rock Show with Daniel P Carter in 2024 as part of Radio 1's annual presenter search. He also made his national commercial radio debut on Radio X in 2022, covering the overnight schedule.
Alongside his national broadcasting work, Jordan is a regular presenter on BBC Radio Tees, has hosted BBC Upload, and has presented programmes across BBC Local Radio in the North of England. Since joining the BBC Introducing team in 2021, he has become a regular presenter across the North East, interviewing established and emerging artists while hosting stages at major festivals including Reading & Leeds, Stockton Calling and Soundwaves.
Away from the studio, Jordan works as a freelance Broadcast Journalist for the BBC across the North East, reporting for BBC Radio and appearing on BBC Look North. His voice has also featured on viral BBC social media content, while his journalism has seen him interview everyone from grassroots musicians to major public figures. Whether he's behind a microphone, on stage or reporting live, Jordan brings warmth, credibility and an unmistakable northern voice to every audience.
