DJ Davda to host the new KISS Dancehall Show on KISS

DJ Davda has been given a new show on KISS which will start this Sunday night.

Davda will be hosting the all new KISS Dancehall Show. It will broadcast on Sunday's, 11pm-1am nationwide on KISS, online and on the KISS Cube app.

KISS Fresh favourite Davda said: ‘I’ve learned a lot since I started presenting and playing music on radio back in 2015. Getting on to KISS means I can take it up a notch while playing the music that I love - dancehall! So many people in my life have helped me and most importantly they keep it real even when the realness hurts. That feedback and support has kept me on my toes and allowed music to be the focus of my life. Expressing this on KISS will be a blessing. Thank you to everyone involved, you know who you are and I hope you and the world will enjoy the new show!

Esi has been given a new show on KISS which will launch on this Tuesday night.

Presenters from Westside Talent have hosted events across the country on the BBC Bitesize schools tour. Produced by BBC Children’s and Education, the tour is designed to inspire young people to achieve their goals and help realise their ambitions.

Presenters - Jasmine Takhar, Fee Mak, Ana Her and Steve Forbes, all presented panels on the tour which included schools in Manchester, Middlesbrough, Newquay, Coventry and Yorkshire from September 2023 to January 2024.

Fee Mak and Jasmine Takhar are set to host the Dance Inspirations National Finals in January 2024. The event will feature special guest judge Kimberley Wyatt formerly of The Pussycat Dolls.

The tour finals will take place across the weekend of January 26 to 28 at VIVA in Blackpool.

DJ Kizzi will be taking over Radio 1's Soundsystem Party on BBC Radio 1 this Christmas for a special edition of the show featuring non stop anthems.

Kizzi, who has hosted shows on BBC Asian Network takes over on the show on Saturday 30th December from 7pm to 9pm.

Kizzi says: “I'm excited to be taking over the Radio 1's Soundsystem Party. It's always been a dream of mine to be on BBC Radio 1 and that will finally come true on the 30th of December on my favourite show! Capital Dance is rolling out a refreshed schedule from Monday 10th October with a trio of new signings – Matty Chiabi, Meg McHugh and Zofia Rogers.

Matty, who has hosted shows on Westside Radio, Foundation FM and Radio 1, has become the new voice of weekday afternoons, 12pm – 4pm, on Capital Dance.

Jojo is a radio presenter from West London who presents on Westside Radio 89.6FM, hosting the Westside Connection (Mon-Fri, 10am-1pm) which she started doing in May 2022. Since then, Jojo has gone on to join and cover shows on the UK’s biggest Hip-Hop station, Capital Xtra.

Across the country over the next 14 weeks some of our Talent including Jasmine Takhar, Nayha, Ana Her, Matty Chiabi and Mary Mandefield will be a part of a diverse group of 35 BBC Presenters that will go into schools across the UK to share their own personal journeys and success. They will host special interactive assemblies delivered in over 700 schools.

James Stirling, the BBC 100 Executive Editor says: ‘It’s encouraging to see young people feeling positive about their futures after a challenging few years. However nearly three quarters say they want more support and advice to help them with their next steps.’
